In Class Response: Bubbles.

In class we did an experiment with soap, paint, and water. Combined, all of those components make colored bubbles. The mixture was in a bowl and we were each given a straw. Then you blow into the bowl and you make bubbles, after you put a piece of paper over the dome of bubbles which results in bubble art. Bubbles don't just come out of nowhere though, there is an entire science behind them. On larger bubbles, you can see colors swirling around the surface on the sphere. Those colors are created by light bouncing off the inside and outside of the bubble causing light waves from the inner and outer surface to interfere. These create the colors that you see as a bubble floats through the air.
